Baymont by Wyndham Greenville

The location was handy, close to stores and restaurants, and my room was okay. Since there are no elevators, I'd suggest adding more stair entrances. The toilets could use an upgrade too, like the rest of the place seems to have had. The inside of mine wasn't pleasant, and it sat too low for me, even though I'm short.

The bed sheets were clean, there was a comfortable pillow, and the motel was fairly quiet since there weren't many guests. Breakfast was okay, though homeless people came in each morning and piled several plates high, then brought bags to carry the food away. I'm happy to help people who are homeless, and the motel seems to welcome everyone, but I paid too much for this room. The first room was filthy, so we asked to move. The second was better but still had dirty floors, closet, refrigerator, bathroom, toilet, and towels. They brought clean towels when we asked. When I requested housekeeping, the housekeeper just left a tissue box by the sink and went. Cockroaches, cigarette butts, and trash around the property were also problems. Repairs were needed throughout the motel, and it felt rundown and poorly looked after. The place smelled like weed, which bothered me. We did sleep well every night, and we don't smoke.

The cleaning lady was rude. At 11:04, she knocked really hard and asked if we planned to stay longer. I know checkout is at 11, but that didn't seem like the right way to handle it. And I can't believe this is a Wyndham hotel. There were roaches everywhere. I left food on the TV stand for about 15 minutes and found three roaches on it. We had to throw the food away and go elsewhere for breakfast. Disgusting. I won't be back.

We checked out right away because there was no way I could sleep in that room. Turning on the air conditioner brought out a musty, damp smell that immediately triggered my allergies. The rooms were dark and dreary, the pool was green and unusable, and the lobby had a strong disinfectant odor. Avoid this place.
