Best Western Central City

The pillows are terrible, and breakfast left a lot to be desired. Loud card games went on outside our room until well past midnight. When I called the front desk, they said they couldn’t ask the poker night group to move somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We stayed five nights while in town for a local Fast Draw competition in Beaver Dam, and were impressed with the place. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily cleaning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and ready by 5:30, with plenty of food and drinks to choose from. We’ll definitely stay again!

This place is clean and nice, and I’d stay again. The building is being updated, the outside is well lit, and it seems like everyone there wants guests to enjoy their stay. We paid $$140 a night. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, desk, chair, and a sofa seat with foot stool. Temperature control worked well, though different curtains or blinds might help circulation. The toilet ran all night, probably something simple, but the maintenance man was very helpful and willing to fix it right away. The hotel isn’t in a quiet location, but it’s a good one, with a 24-hour restaurant next door. The breakfast area is nice, the staff are friendly, and the pool looked great, though it wasn’t open.

I only took off a star because the accessible bathtub was too tall for me to step into. There is a seat you can sit on and turn into the shower with.
