Hilton Greenville

Nate made dinner service fantastic. He went out of his way to look after everyone, and he should be the Gold Standard for hiring here. Ten out of ten service! The front desk staff were kind and accommodating too, and met all our needs. Our room was neat, clean, and nice. We enjoyed the stay and would consider coming back.

Everything else about this hotel deserves five stars, and it’s a wonderful place for a corporate event. But I don’t understand why a conference center has no on-site electric vehicle charging. Sending people to a station four miles away isn’t practical. I expected this Hilton to have charging stations, as almost all hotels do.

I had to stay at the Hilton in Greenville, South Carolina after a gas leak at our home. When I went down for coffee before work, I learned they were charging $4 a cup, on top of $25 for the breakfast buffet. At $100 a night, I’d expect coffee and breakfast to be free. I think that’s totally wrong, and I’ll go to a hotel that doesn’t charge guests for both. I hope someone finds this useful and stays somewhere else that’s more guest friendly about coffee and breakfast. I’ve had bad experiences with Hilton before. At a wedding stay in Columbia, our first room was dirty, with crumbs on the island bar. The second smelled like fish. Maintenance tried to send someone up with rose spray, but I asked him to come tell the front desk with me. We had only 15 minutes to get ready for the wedding, so I asked for a different room to be ready when we returned. A few hours later, when we came back for a new key, the desk clerk was rude and said the room number was on the card. I raised it with management and was told it would be handled.

The breakfast was excellent, especially the crunchy bacon, yellow cheese grits, and pumpkin bread. You could tell the food was good quality, and I wish I could eat it every day. The fruit tea by the elevator was fantastic and tasted so fresh. My two-day stay was a great experience. Everyone I met was lovely, and Cody and Jenny were so sweet and welcoming. Their smiles could brighten your morning. The room was very clean too.
