TownePlace Suites by Marriott Greenville Haywood Mall

The place is a bit off the beaten path, and the rooms were clean, though ours smelled like animal urine. We opened the window. The bed was small, maybe a double or twin, and the building feels old, even though there’s a kitchenette in the room. For the price, I’ll stay elsewhere next time since I didn’t need that kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there were a few crossed wires between shifts. Night staff said they’d hold our bags after checkout, while day staff didn’t know what to do and said it wasn’t their responsibility. That worked out, but it was concerning. We also got different breakfast times from staff, though the breakfast attendant was patient and offered to keep it open and refresh it. They didn’t have enough people at the front desk for our large group attending a local event. There was always a line, and we waited over 15 minutes each time. Extra staff could have handled simple requests like keys and quick questions while other issues were being sorted out.

The room was on the small side but nicely set up, with a full kitchen and everything we needed. The property was mostly clean, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was included, filling, and adequate. We had a nice stay and would come back.

This modern hotel made for a really comfortable stay. Our room had two large, comfy beds, and we slept in whenever we could. The bathroom was spacious enough for a nice bath, and there was plenty of room for both our luggage, including in the big walk-in closet. I liked the clean, condo-like style throughout the place. It’s only two stories, with lots of parking, and sits in a quiet neighborhood that felt safely tucked away from the city. At the same time, it’s close to downtown Greenville and convenient for getting to the busy city centers. The staff were great, and the whole visit felt pleasant. A good fit for a business or leisure trip.

The location worked great, right by a mall and lots of nice restaurants, and I’d stay here again on another Greenville trip. It was peaceful and quiet inside, with helpful, polite people at the front desk. My room had a super comfortable bed and a pullout couch. The kitchen was especially nice, with a stove and cabinets stocked with different pots and pans.
