Grenada INN

For less than $50 for two queen beds, this was the best motel I've stayed at. It was very clean and well kept, with a huge bathroom, plenty of space, a mini fridge, and a microwave. I wish I'd taken pictures to post, so if you stay, take some and share them here. Management was so kind and friendly. The person helping guests was actually the owner, making sure we were happy with the experience. There are lots of places to eat nearby too.

The air was cold and the price was good at $44, but the beds were hard and thin like bunk beds. The ice machine was broken, and the rooms could use some upgrades. The ceiling looked like it might cave in. We checked out around 6:45am and nobody was in the office when we returned our room key. The front door was locked, so there was no breakfast either.

The bed bugs were horrible, and my children got bitten so many times. The room wasn't anything fancy, and the bathroom had large rust patches all over. The bathtub floor felt soft, like you might fall through it. I asked for a refund in the morning because of how badly the kids had been bitten, but they said no. The girl who checked us in was nice enough, but when we asked about bed bugs before paying, we were told there were no issues. I'm very disappointed. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I gave one star only because it was the lowest rating available.

The room was a great deal at $30, but at much more than that I don't think it would be worth it. The cereal at breakfast looked old and stale. The room was paid through priceline, and sorting out the booking took several contacts: I had to reach the person who got the room, who then contacted priceline multiple times. Priceline also had to contact the hotel to add a night. Google Maps and all the booking sites say the hotel is pet friendly, but a sign behind the desk says they don't accept pets. My service animal was fine, luckily, since they understand what a service animal is and what they're allowed to ask and require. The owner and main desk worker is rude and barely understands English. If check-in gets complicated, he may tell you to come back if the English-speaking worker is coming in that day. That English-speaking worker is very nice and friendly, and the only one I'd do business with again. I don't know what will happen if the English-speaking guy comes in. Booking sites would be better off dropping this hotel.
