I barely slept because the bed was so hard and stiff that my back hurt all night. When I told the manager, he said other people like the beds and called them “custom.” Maybe they were custom ten years ago. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and there wasn’t any soap when I got into the shower, so I had to get out and ask for some. After paying $25 for late checkout, I was woken at 11 am by someone banging on the door and asking if I was checking out. The manager had no record of me, and claimed two men had already checked out of my room that morning, though I’d been alone there for two nights. He then said I could stay, but I’d already packed up and was upset at being woken. I’d checked the night before and everything was fine. There was no apology, just blame, and none of it made sense. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d have gladly paid a little more for the Best Western if I’d known.

We’ve been coming here for years for staycations and special occasions, enjoying time together in the pool and hot tub and checking out the restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms always look good and are kept fresh with new paint and bedding. The furniture is older, but clean and well cared for. My husband and I bring games from home and play them at the small table by the couch. Early risers can get a nice free breakfast in the breakfast room, and there’s coffee and tea at the front desk for anyone. The friendly staff always remember us when we come in, which is a blessing ❤️.

The woman at the front desk was wonderful, and breakfast was pretty good. I came without a reservation and was allowed to check in around 8 am for an extra $20 or so. I was worried about my truck and boat because the neighborhood didn’t look great, but nothing happened to them. It was a no-hassle, no-drama stay, which is hard to find at hotels and motels these days. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends or family.

The night desk guy went out of his way to offer us a first-floor room after he noticed my cane, since there’s no elevator. He also gave us fresh sheets and blankets. The woman on the morning shift was really nice, and we had a good conversation. I appreciated her help with my questions. The place could use some TLC, but I’d come back.
