Motel 6 Gresham, OR - Portland

They charged my card, then told me I couldn't stay, and refused to return my money. The young guy at the counter with long dark hair was very unprofessional and had seriously poor customer service. This was my worst experience with Motel 6. He shouldn't be the person representing a business at the front desk.

For two days I had no hot water, and the front desk could not have cared less. They're rude. They also speak Spanish in front of you as if you won't understand, but I did. That's poor customer service, period. I've stayed here several times and used to brush off the rudeness each time, but this visit was my last. It also feels unsafe: transit people hang around the door, wait for you to open it, and then run inside. I hope they make changes at this location, starting with firing all the front desk employees.

The rooms are run down. Our first room had no power, and the next had only two working lights, which left it dark and dreary. They were using brooms to hold doors shut, and there was a cone in the handicapped parking spot so nobody could park there. Nothing was going on during the three days we stayed.

The staff are very, very nice, and I like the spacious rooms and the bathtub. My husband and I have stayed here off and on, paying day by day. I'd give it five stars if the room had more light and the bed were a little softer. Aside from that, it's a really nice place to stay.
