Gretna Motel

The service was wonderful, and this little motel was better than I expected. It's small, but well worth the low price, and I'd put it above Super8 or Redroof Inn. The plain exterior doesn't have much curb appeal. A couple of large seasonal plants, maybe small shrubs, out front and in back could help, with some flowers for color in spring and summer. Just a suggestion. Nice little motel.

Everything worked, and the whole place was so clean and smelled good. I asked the manager if it was safe, and he said yes and gave me his cell number. When I asked about checkout, he asked what time I wanted to leave. I said 11:00, and he said that was fine. Thanks y'all 💚

We stayed the night a week before our reservation, in a typical old-school motel where you bring your own sheets and clean everything first. We had fun and brought our dog. But when we came back for our reservation the following week, a woman came to our car yelling and wouldn't let us explain that we had a reservation. She was about as brown as me. So we gave to charity and drove off to somewhere more suitable, where we could keep our bags inside. Maybe this was a relative Ancestry brought me to, which would about fit how family treats each other these days 😂

I had privacy and the room was pretty clean, but the TV kept turning itself on and off during my last nights, and they couldn't fix it. I left something in the bathroom when I checked out, but housekeeping denied that I'd left anything. I had left a very handsome $50.00 tip. When I called from home about the very expensive oil I use to treat my pneumonia, the hotel owner's wife kept me on the phone while she yelled at her husband. That was so unprofessional. I'll spend my money elsewhere and won't go back.
