Gridley Inn & Rv Park

The RV park can be pretty rough, with cluttered or run-down spots and some residents who aren't pleasant, so keep that in mind if you're staying there for a while. The rooms cost a lot considering there's not much of importance nearby. Still, my room was clean and comfortable, with soft beds, fresh sheets, and a complimentary snack and water. The rooms aren't modern, but during my month of on-and-off stays, the staff also looked out for my things. I switched rooms often and left a necklace behind once. Housekeeping let me know, which was kind and honest of them.

I won't stay at this park again. I didn't feel safe there, and I wouldn't recommend it to a woman traveling alone or to anyone with children. There were several unsettling people around. An older man kept waiting for me to leave my trailer so he could talk to me, and one woman exposed herself to a couple of younger children. Some trailers looked like homeless camps. The place costs $500 a week, plus a $65 pet fee for the RV park, something I haven't been charged at other parks. The dog area was littered and smelled like stale beer. The pool looked nicer than other parts of the park, but it was still dirty. Laundry is available, though there are no quarters on site, so you have to go elsewhere to get them. There were also around seven or more feral cats.

The pool and Spa were well kept, and being able to unwind there helped relieve our stress. The management team has been exceptionally friendly and helpful to my mom and me after my mom's ex's mother left us here. The owner is a grounded woman, full of grace and helpful too. We're very grateful for their support while we figure out our next move. I'd recommend this place to others.

We were in town for geese hunting and stayed in one of the cottages from Dec 21 thru 25. There was plenty of room for all our things, and staff cleaned the room daily. Restaurants and markets are within walking distance. The person in the office was nice and easy to approach when we arrived, which was a good start. We'll definitely stay here again.
