I was just visiting a friend, and the room was in good condition.

I stayed here for about 10 months to keep a roof over my head and keep a job, spending $1,400 a month. I started at $350 a week as a temp employee. After I became full time and went to a two-week pay period, I paid $700 each period, $400 by debit and $300 cash, covering that week and the next. I paid this man on August 10, 2023, for that week and the following one. I got a better job offer and checked out the next Sunday, the 20th. I returned my keys, and he said I owed three days because my checkout day was Friday. That was a lie, I paid by the week. He tried to scam me and said I was banned from the property after I’d spent almost $20,000 at this run-down, roach-infested motel. Don’t spend your money here. It isn’t appreciated and isn’t worth what you’ll experience. Stay away. Griffin, GA needs more hotels, because this place needs new management and a remodel.

The manager came into my room early in the morning after seeing my husband leave. I told him he shouldn’t open doors to rooms that aren’t listed as vacant. I don’t know what he intended by entering after my husband left, but I worried they might go through our things. I felt very uncomfortable when a strange man unlocked and opened my door without permission or even knocking. The place was gross. My sheets and comforter had burn holes, as did the lamps and toilet seats, and the walls were very dirty, among other things. There was nowhere to hang a coat or my belongings, and the room phone had no dial tone.

They were very rude to me, my wife, and our kids, with no respect at all. When we called the office about the TV not working, they blamed us because we had a Roku box and said we broke it. Then they told my kids to be quiet. You don’t treat people that way.
