Days Inn by Wyndham Carlisle North

We had enough room to park our tractor trailer, and the bed was comfortable, unlike beds at a lot of places we've stayed. The room was clean, the service was exceptional, and we really enjoyed our two nights there.

I only needed one night, and the hotel was close to where I had to be. The property had a slight smell, but the room didn't and was wonderfully clean. The price and room were just right, and the staff were very nice and prompt when I checked in late at night.

We arrived close to 11 p.m. and couldn't find anywhere else, so we were stuck staying here. The room was horrible. The floor was so disgusting my kids' feet turned black in under five minutes. The bathroom trim was black, there was what looked like blood on the wall, and the outside of the AC unit was black. When we asked for a refund or some money back, they didn't seem to care and said it wasn't possible because I'd booked through booking.com.

I left without staying, even though I'd paid for two nights. The hotel and room were filthy, the towels were stained, and there was no soap, shampoo, or lotion. There were maybe ten sheets of toilet paper and no spare roll. It was so nasty that I'd rather lose the money and pay somewhere else than spend another minute there. They supposedly plan to refund me, which is why I gave service two stars, but we'll see if that holds.
