There were no fitted sheets on the beds, only top sheets, and nobody came to clean our room for 3 days. We also had to fight to get enough towels for everyone staying there. The smoke detector in my room wasn't hardwired, wires were exposed in the bathroom, the ceiling was moldy, and there was no sprinkler system. Propane tanks were too close to the building, with rusty fittings and foil wrapped around the connection at the building. Deathtrap!

I first found this place in 2022, and The Patels have become like extended family. It's peaceful and quiet, with a serene, homey feel that keeps me coming back season after season. The energy here is really good.

The rooms are very spacious, which is a real plus if you want room to move or are traveling with a larger group. Ours was clean, though there were stained ceiling tiles and some walls could use caulking. The decor is mostly stuck in the 70s and 80s, like the wood-paneled microwave, with a few signs of attempted updates. The thin walls were the biggest problem. We could hear every word of an ordinary conversation next door, so it was hard to sleep and we left the TV on to cover the noise. The person at the counter had trouble understanding me at check-in and check-out, and when I asked about the missing TV remote. We wanted a cheap place to stay while seeing a show at Foxwoods, and this was by far the cheapest. From outside, it nearly looked abandoned: old, faded siding, no landscaping, and front doors left wide open. You'd drive past and think, 'nope.' You get what you pay for. If saving money matters and you won't spend much time at the hotel, it may work. For a good night's sleep, pay more and look elsewhere.

My sister booked the room, and it was a horrifying stay. The mattress was covered in red mystery stains that looked like blood. The whole building smelled of weed and spray meant to cover the smell, and the person at the front desk was incredibly rude.
