Candlewood Suites Grove City - Outlet Center by IHG

There’s a full-size fridge and kitchen, plus a nice big table to work at. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was even a recliner. The only thing I didn’t like was the energy-saving thermostat, which shuts off when you’re out of the room.

The management was rude and brushed off the stink bugs, saying they “just happen.” The hotel seemed infested with them. Our room was disgusting, with stains everywhere and lots of smashed items. The toilet was filthy, and the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived. We also waited two hours for the room to be cleaned.

The dog area was really nice, and both staff members I dealt with were kind. I was glad to find a dog-friendly hotel in the IHG group, and it did meet that need. But the kitchen was greasy, the floors were sticky, and there were hairs in the bathroom. The bedding was so wrinkled I wondered how clean it was, though I couldn’t bring myself to think about it. Fine for a quick overnight, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were courteous, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. We were impressed and would recommend this hotel. On January 2, 2025, our family stayed one night on the way home to Indiana from New York City. We had plenty of room for four in a spacious, clean, well-appointed one-bedroom suite with two double beds and a living room sofa bed. The gym was clean and had lots of equipment. It was easy to reach from I-80, and Grove City Premium Outlets is half a mile away.
