The desk staff were friendly, but checkout left us annoyed. My wife was back in the room watching TV while I did a final sweep, after we'd checked out. A minute later, an older maid who had been in the lobby came to the door, first apologizing for interrupting when we said we were just about to leave. Then she changed her tune and threatened to keep our $50 deposit because we'd checked out but hadn't left yet. We left right then, but I was mad about how she acted, and didn't leave a tip. In the rush, we forgot a pillow with a red case, which my wife wasn't happy about either.

Please don't stay here. My first room smelled of smoke and mildew, the bedside lamps were dirty and dusty, and the carpet was a mess. I asked to change rooms before I could even check for bed bugs. The next one looked clean on the surface and had hardwood floors, but when I checked the bed I found three bed bugs. I'm sure there were more. The woman at the front desk was helpful and returned my $50 cash deposit without question, though she seemed to expect the bed bugs when I told her. If you absolutely must stay, check the beds right away. I saw reviews saying the manager wouldn't give refunds or cancellations, so book through a third party to get your refund, and pay the deposit in cash.

I've stayed here three times because I sometimes need a smoking room, and not many hotels still offer them. This is the best of the ones I've tried that have smoking rooms. It's a little outdated, but worth the money, and the staff have been amazing every time. I've never been disappointed and plan to keep coming back; it's my new go-to when I want a smoking room. If you're after luxury, I'd suggest somewhere with luxurious rooms and no smoking rooms. Can't wait to return.

The staff were available whenever we needed them and were accommodating. The room had a couple of things that should've been fixed before it was rented out, including a coat rack barely holding on to the wall. There were no snack or drink vending machines working. When we asked, we were told they were all out of order, but the gas station down the street has plenty to choose from.
