Hampton Inn Columbus-South

We had a fun, relaxing, worry-free visit after going to the Adam Sandler show at Nationwide Arena. My fiance, two friends, and I found the hotel pretty easily with GPS. There are shops and a Walmart nearby, and White Castle is right beside it, which made dinner easy. The indoor pool and gym were nice, and the clean beds were comfortable. The room could have used a better vacuuming, but the free breakfast was awesome, with fruit, hot and cold cereal, sausage gravy and biscuits, mini cheese omelets, muffins, breads, waffles, juice, and coffee. It was all really good.

Everything was very clean and the front desk staff were kind. They told us the famous cookies are only baked during the week, so I just wish weekend guests could get them too.

I'd stay here again, yes. I was in town overnight for a local event, and the location, easy access, nearby restaurants, and roomy rooms were all pluses. The air conditioning was already running when I arrived, set to 61, which I loved. The room layout reminded me a bit of Double Tree. It's a Hampton, so I'm judging it against other Hampton Hotels and the Hilton Brand I've experienced. The interiors and rooms are dated, though still in decent shape. There was no market or TV remote in my room, the elevators are a moderate walk from the main entrance, and there were no USB outlets. Some electrical connections were loose, and the tub/shower was small.

The location was wonderful, and it was nice and quiet inside. I really enjoyed my stay, especially the delicious continental breakfast. I'd recommend this hotel if you're in the area.
