Red Roof Inn Columbus - Grove City

The price was reasonable, and the bed and furniture had recently been updated. The check-in clerk was friendly, knew her stuff, and got me the first-floor room I’d requested. There’s a very large TV and prepaid Netflix, which was nice. Two walls had fresh paint, but the wall by the door badly needed repainting and caulk. The bathroom’s only lightbulb was out, and the deadbolt didn’t work. I just wish breakfast were included.

It was quiet, the water stayed hot, and the room was properly cleaned. There was plenty of space and a big flat-screen mounted on the wall. I’ll stay here on my next visit.

Restaurants and shopping are very close by, and the hotel seemed to be working fine with no real problems during my stay. I’d read comments about the area being rough, but it didn’t seem like a bad spot to me. Maybe it’s livelier than some other hotel locations.

Family came in from out of town, and we agreed they couldn’t stay at the inn they’d reserved because of safety and hygiene concerns. The Red Roof Inn was our next try. The check-in clerk made sure they were looked after and personally checked that both rooms were clean and well kept. He apologized that they weren’t fancy, but we told him clean and safe were what we wanted.
