Rush Creek Lodge and Spa at Yosemite

The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the resort is close to a Yosemite entrance. There’s a great selection of wine, beer, and other alcohol, and the pool and spa area is nice and not too crowded. The staff were awesome, apart from Victoria, who was super rude when we asked to split the dinner check and refused. The server the night before had no issue doing that. Our rooms were never cleaned or turned down, even after I asked. At these prices, that shouldn’t be an issue. The food was okay, but there’s only one restaurant and one large bar area, and they serve the same food. The menu was the same every day.

The pool was small and really crowded, and there wasn’t much to do beyond the lodge. Food choices were limited too, and I would’ve liked more options and ideas for activities. The lodge also isn’t well insulated from noise, so you can hear all kinds of sounds. Rush Creek is 45 minutes from the Valley, but it took us six hours to get there from downtown SF because of heavy traffic and highway jams. Way too far!

Even with cold, rainy weather throughout our vacation, we had an amazing and memorable stay at Rush Creek. Adrian at the bar deserves special thanks for his outstanding service. He was kind, professional, and upbeat, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. That made the trip extra enjoyable and special. We’d definitely recommend Rush Creek for a relaxing getaway.

Our first Yosemite trip was made special by all the thoughtful touches at Rush Creek, from daily activities to easy access to beautiful trails. Our son loved the programming, especially bingo and making clay animal handprints, and it was great seeing how much he learned and enjoyed. We also appreciated the welcome gift for him. The team clearly loves what they do, and that came through in every interaction. My wife and I both work in hospitality, and we know great service when we see it. Alyssa gave me the best facial I’ve ever had, with warmth, expertise, and real attention to detail. The spa itself was fantastic and so relaxing. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed starting mornings with coffee and fresh bakery items from the gift shop, which also had great things to bring back for friends and family. Mary Jane on the room service team was another standout, always thoughtful and adding touches like extra towels and personal notes. The resort was a haven for our son and us. We can’t wait to return.
