For an affordable stay about a 30 minute ride from the Yosemite entrance, this hostel was great value. The hosts were friendly, and I met some nice people in my room. I liked how well organized everything was: a good shower with shampoo and soap, bunks with handy shelves and lights, plus a fridge, coffee, and kitchen amenities. You can’t go wrong with this option!

A lovely hostel, and getting to Yosemite was easy. Check-in and check-out were convenient too. I had to leave in a hurry, which was a shame. If you need personal space for your friend, there’s a private room available.

It’s close by and affordable. The room didn’t smell very fresh, and there was only one restroom for 10 people. Luckily, Ivy had four there.

I met people from all over the US and the world, which gave the place a good vibe for me. The bed was thin but fine if you like a firmer mattress. I brought my own pillow and that made it more comfortable. There are nice outdoor areas and free, large parking, but no storage lockers if that matters to you. Bring your own towel. This is very basic compared with hostels around the world. The kitchen was sparse, there was one bathroom for 10-15 people, and there weren’t many common areas. There were no activities or gatherings like you might expect. It’s really just a place to sleep. For the price and location, I’d recommend it to a young person traveling to Yosemite, and I’ll stay again next time I’m there. Just don’t expect the setup you might find elsewhere.

The shared yellow house had a good kitchen and bathroom, and the beds were clean. It’s fine for one night, though it smelled a bit and felt overpriced.
