Hampton Inn Biloxi-Ocean Springs

My wife and I will never stay here again. We stayed here for the first time nine years ago and had a good experience, but under the current management it seems to have become a low-rent motel. The overwhelming smell of mold throughout the hotel should be concerning. Our first room was covered in mold and had no working air conditioning. In the second room, I personally had to empty two standalone dehumidifiers. If you have a child with respiratory issues, this isn’t the place for you.

As a frequent work traveler and Hilton Honors member, I was highly disappointed by how I was treated. I requested late checkout at the front desk, asking to leave an hour after the usual time. On checkout day, after 11:00 P.M., the maids on the floor questioned and harassed me because their clipboard had no written record of it. I explained that I’d arranged it at the front desk, but they kept barraging me with questions and called the front desk manager to confirm. Once they found out my request was valid, they stayed loud and boisterous, as if we were overstaying our welcome. I won’t stay at another Hilton-affiliated hotel.

After we’d been on the road for hours, Manager Ms. A.R. and the overnight and morning staff were incredibly helpful when there was a miscommunication about my reservation and special request. They handled it with professionalism and understanding, resolving everything efficiently and carefully. I really appreciate their dedication and kindness. It made all the difference in our stay.

The hotel is good, but the WiFi is SOOOOOO BAD. If you’re traveling for work and need to use a computer, bring your own WiFi. I couldn’t do any reports, approve timesheets, or anything computer related because it was so bad. Very frustrating.
