Royal Palms 1304 by Meyer Vacation Rentals

We got a penthouse unit, much higher up than I expected, and the view was great day and night. Since it’s on the edge of the building, the beach was less crowded. The rooms were very good and held up under heavy use. Liquid Life air bnb communicated really well. We had our 5, 3 HS/MS ok. Good price for the view and building amenities. We’ll be back!

The location was perfect, the last condo on the beach before the state park, with a gorgeous, uncrowded beach. We stayed in #1002. We’ve stayed in many places over the years, but sleeping here was a problem. The bunks in the hallway are ridiculously small. I’m 5'3" and couldn’t lie flat, so the listing should say they’re only for small children, not teens. The pullout couch was so hard we couldn’t even sit on it comfortably. We also had trouble with the keypad. They sent someone quickly, but it kept malfunctioning on and off during our stay.

We’ve stayed here for the past three years and can’t imagine choosing anywhere else. It’s the last complex heading east out of Gulf Shores, away from the center of things but only minutes from the Hang Out and shopping. The beach is clean and not crowded.

The beach was lovely and the building was quiet. From Suite 701 on the east side, we had an open view toward the ocean, since it’s the last building before the state park. You can walk along the beach to the park pier in about 10 minutes. The unit was clean, though a bit dated. It had what we needed, but a smart TV, a comfier couch, and a few more kitchen supplies would help. I wouldn’t want to squeeze in more than five people.
