Unit 202 at Sea & Sun Condos was a really bad experience, and we wouldn't go back. The place was dirty, including grime in the air vents and around the bathroom light switch. The shower rod was rusty, the wall over the shower was water-damaged, and I can only imagine there may be mold inside it. There was what looked like dried toothpaste beside the bedroom sink. The bedroom ceiling fan also appears to have duct tape at the top, maybe covering exposed wiring. On top of that, the TV didn't work and the bedroom remote was dead. We had to wait through the cable company's dreaded three-hour window to get it fixed, only to learn a cable was missing, something the cleaning crew should have caught. We also had to put up with constant cigarette smoke from the shared deck beside our unit. We told the owner about all of it, but he offered no compensation.

The beach is just across the street with easy access, and the pool was clean. It's pet-friendly, though there isn't much room for pets to go potty. Room #204 was mostly clean when we arrived, but several things needed repair. The shower knob was broken in half and mildewed, then broke completely when we used it. Luckily my husband had pliers. The front door was missing its threshold and had cracks around it.

We eventually left unit 203 for a hotel after two nights with almost no sleep and no help, and won't return to these condos. Vacasa did eventually make things right, though with all the fees, a hotel down the street may cost about the same. We asked for the two unused nights to be refunded and kept getting told someone would contact us. After several days and more calls, we heard from them once. They refunded the Vrbo fee and a similar additional amount, a little more than one night's stay, but we felt that was the minimum and they still fell short. The owner seemed to be the one refusing to budge. When we asked about leaving early, we were told there'd be no refund even if we left. We also asked for a replacement bed or mattress, and were told maintenance would contact us, but nobody came or called. The beds were awful: after a long drive and arriving late, I slept on the couch, and the pullout was just as bad in a different way. In daylight we saw dirty floors and what looked like blood on a pillow, comforter, and sheets. We hadn't slept on those because we usually discard bedding in new places. Some doors were hung wrong or had peeling laminate, and a board at the top step was loose and a clear hazard. We gave it another night in case we were imagining things, but it was just as bad. We'll likely avoid Vrbo and Vacasa too.

It was affordable and I'm glad we chose this place instead of a hotel. There was plenty of space for our family of five to sleep, hang out, watch movies, or play the new college football 2025. The air conditioning was amazing, and having washers and dryers on site made it easy to get some laundry done. The kids wanted the pool every day, so I could finally nap after our busy mornings. I liked the dog area when taking them out, and my wife and I walked along the beach a couple of nights. A great place to relax with family.

The pool was a nice option when the beach was too rough to swim, and the condo suited me, my fiancé, and our dogs. We stayed at the dapper dolphin through airbnb. It's small, but did the job, and I'd stay again, maybe on the second floor so I'm not woken so early. The family upstairs had a child running between the bedroom and kitchen at 6 every morning, and I woke up at the same time on vacation. I wanted to complain, but my fiancé talked me out of it. The unit had no blankets for watching TV, though that was fine in the hot bedroom. Parking was a little tight, as expected with our big truck. It was mostly clean, aside from two fingernails left on the back of the couch.
