The Villas at Legacy in Gulfport, Mississippi sits right across the street from the beach, so it's easy to spend the day swimming, sunbathing, or building sandcastles. The complex also has two pools, a hot tub, fitness center, and playground. The condos are roomy and well equipped, with full kitchens, washer and dryers, and private balconies. A great spot for a family vacation or couples getaway.

I was told the villa had been “remodeled,” but the whole place looked run down, and I've stayed in hundreds of lodging places. There are better options for less money. The garage door opener only worked when I got out of the car and stood right by the door. Flooring was lifting in several kitchen spots, and a nail at the kitchen to living room carpet transition ripped my sock and cut my foot. The floors were so dirty my feet turned black. One TV's Roku device was missing its power cord. I also hadn't been told when booking that the owner was selling the property and wanted to show it to potential buyers while I was staying there.

A friend was visiting, and her VRBO was in this really nice area. The place looked very well maintained, and she said the prices were reasonable too.

The workmanship was poor, and the furniture was old and worn out. Our apartment sat above three garages, with cold floors and noisy doors opening and closing.
