The staff’s local knowledge and kindness made a huge difference, and they even packed our fish professionally so it was easy to take home. We had a wonderful time fishing, kayaking, and sightseeing around Glacier Bay, with Alaska’s scenery and wildlife making each day memorable. The inn was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the meals were delicious. We enjoyed the stay so much that we booked another one. It made a great base for our Alaska trip.

Hunter was a terrific fishing guide, and Jana and her team were friendly and easy to work with. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views were breathtaking, and both the food and service were excellent. A top-notch place for a saltwater fishing trip in Alaska. I highly recommend it.

The private glacier tour with Bud was the highlight of our family trip. It cost a lot, but was worth every penny. We also had two great days of fishing, a glacier tour, whale watching, and kayaking. The excursions were all great, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The chef is a food magician. Dinner was incredible, and they took good care of us at breakfast, with packed lunches and snacks too. The staff were friendly and helpful with whatever we needed, and the setting is beautiful, with some wildlife around. The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they’re very nice and comfortable. We also enjoyed the game room and theater after dinner.

We came for the fishing and had three great days on the water with knowledgeable, fun boat captains. We brought home a lot of fresh fish, so it was a successful trip. I also like that the inn offers packages for fishing, whale watching, and glacier tours. There are options for families and larger groups, with something for everyone. The dining room meals were fantastic, and you could choose your dinner at breakfast. The buffet had the usual breakfast favorites plus something different each day, along with fresh donuts and pastries. Sack lunches changed daily too, and were delivered to the boat before we reached the dock. The dining hall looks out over a meadow where wildlife sometimes visits. Our cabin was cozy and comfortable, and the property was beautiful and well kept. Jana and her team were kind and made sure we had what we needed, whatever we asked. Service and hospitality were 10/10. I’d recommend the place to anyone hoping to experience Alaska, and I hope to return.

That fishing trip was the best part by far. I don’t even fish, but somehow caught an approximately 80 lb, 50 inch fish. It felt like a miracle! I have so many photos from a trip I loved. Best place to stay, best everything, and a memory I’ll carry for life.
