The front desk guys were great on the morning, midday, and night shifts. I used to work at an Embassy Suites, and these guys serve Hilton well. Give them raises so they stick around. Thanks, guys! I hardly ever missed breakfast, which was good. They’re remodeling at the moment, but the workers weren’t very loud during the day.

The evening front desk guy was very friendly and helpful, and checking in went well. The newly remodeled room was big and nice, and the hotel was quiet. The morning desk guy didn’t acknowledge me when I spoke to him. Several guests asked him about items missing from the breakfast buffet, but he ignored them. I’d stay again for the room and the check-in experience.

We came back for a second stay within a week, and both visits were great. Trevin was friendly, polite, and helpful each time. It’s pet friendly with reasonable fees, and there are good local restaurants nearby. We had plenty of room to park our trailer. I’d stay in Guthrie and avoid OKC.

At 5 AM, tired travelers at a roadside hotel off I 35 need coffee. I asked at the front desk and was told it was brewing, but wouldn’t be ready for an hour. They should know guests want a bed and coffee in the morning, and they failed on the coffee. This is one of the worst parts of the country, and that kind of service is unreal. Management ought to find another line of work if running a hotel is this difficult.

Hampton is usually good for overall quality, and the front desk staff were outstanding. Dejean? was especially helpful. Breakfast was the weak spot: the toaster only worked on one side, the oatmeal was soupy, and the eggs looked runny and unappetizing. The coffee was great, though. My room was clean but had a strange smell, and the shower pressure was a little weak. The staff made up for a lot.
