The sauna felt great after a day on the trails, and breakfast had a big spread. I liked the Americana decor too, especially the hallway with red globes and the UP in the carpet. The three women working the front desk during my stay were such good people. I enjoyed chatting with them, and appreciated hearing about the ice races in town and good places to eat. It’s a perfect base for snowmobiling, with trails branching in different directions each day. There’s a gas station, food, and stores right at the trail crossroads. We also went to Eben Ice Caves, Miners Castle, Kitch-iti-kipi, and other spots. The trails around there are gorgeous.

Kelli was so welcoming, and it’s clear she’s worked hard to make this a lovely place to stay. The lobby had nice little touches like popcorn and fresh fruit, and it was extremely quiet. Our stay was cute, clean, and comfortable. Gwinn doesn’t have much, but it has what you need: a few good restaurants, a Kwik Trip, Family Dollar/Dollar Tree, and Dollar General. Marquette is only 20 minutes away, and staying here saved us hundreds on lodging. Highly recommend!

The owner is a sweetheart, and the rooms are gorgeous. Everything was clean and nice, and smelled good too. I’d highly recommend this place.

We arrived on a Sunday night after finding this place right off the trails. The rooms were very clean, and the bed was really comfortable. In the morning there was a nice variety of breakfast items, and the manager was friendly and accommodating. She pointed us to Up North Lodge for dinner. We’d recommend staying here if you’re in the Guinn area and hope to come back.
