Motel 6 Los Angeles - Hacienda Heights

The room was very clean and the property looked good, at least. I was only there overnight for a quick business trip, but the bed was so uncomfortable I left at 4 am. The top of the mattress felt kind of soft, then underneath it was like trying to sleep on plywood. I tossed around for five hours and couldn't take it anymore.

The ladies at the front desk were lovely and seemed to care about their customers. The pillows were soft, and it was nice to have coffee in the morning, though the coffee itself was just okay. You get what you pay for, but it was a good deal overall and decent for a family watching its budget.

The rooms are a good deal, and I have no complaints about the place. It's clean and well kept, with helpful, friendly staff. I do wish there were a mini fridge and microwave, since I'm staying for a short but extended period and need them. Motel 6s in general don't tend to have those, so it's not specific to this location.

Jose was still quick to bring us extra towels when we needed them around 2am, and he was polite about it. We arrived at midnight for a spontaneous last-minute trip to LA, and he welcomed us warmly; check-in was speedy. Five of us fit comfortably in a two Queen deluxe room. Parking was a bit rough because we were in the back, and there was no fridge or microwave in the room. The area was nice, with a few restaurants and a convenience store nearby, plus the freeway literally a minute away. For the price, I can't complain. If you just need somewhere simple to sleep, change, and bathe, it worked great.
