Knights Inn Hallandale

We left in under two hours. The room was disgusting, with leftover food in the fridge, worn-out old furniture, and a bed that was horrible. After looking at the box spring, I didn't want to sleep on it. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and I would have chosen the car over that bed. There were old surge protectors and extension cords plugged into the wall. This place needs a full renovation, and the decent-looking online photos are misleading. Do better.

The front desk manager was very nice, but the room was shabby and there were few amenities. The neighboring rooms seemed to be occupied by people living there rather than vacation guests, which felt questionable. The place doesn't look as advertised, and sadly it was disappointing. I didn't feel safe. That's my opinion.

The room door code didn't work, and most of the time there was nobody at the desk. Inside, the shelves were dirty, the ceiling paint was cracking, and there were lots of roaches. There was no ice, and the space between the top and bottom bunks was very small. This was the second worst place I've stayed in my life. Just disgusting.

I couldn't stay there because of my allergies, and I didn't feel safe because people could see into the room even with the blinds closed. Expedia listed it as a hotel, but this is a MOTEL. Good luck calling the thing in the pictures a pool. I was willing to pay a cancellation fee, but neither management nor Expedia would refund me, even though I never stayed. I had to make last-minute reservations at a real hotel and pay for transport. Even the Uber driver knew why I wouldn't stay at this place, which locals know as a low-rate motel. It seems to have been turned into a residential condominium, with only a few vacant units being rented out. Save yourself the trouble and money and stay somewhere else.
