Grand Cascades Lodge

My kids had a great time here. They liked the pools, including the cool slide, and the activities were fun. There were pony rides and a fire burning, and we enjoyed the buffet too. The one issue was an extra charge. They billed us for three adults instead of two, so we had to go back inside to get it removed. The same thing happened to me at their other location. Maybe the front desk needs to get it together. Aside from that, we loved the place.

The cleaning team must be very well run. The sheets, kitchen, shower, and tub were all spotless, and I didn't notice a single problem. I actually felt comfortable walking around without shoes. This is the nicest, cleanest hotel I've ever been to, a 10/10 for me. The front desk employees are lovely, too. Everything here is phenomenal.

My daughter's wedding is on 8/23/26, and I've booked a room here for two nights. I haven't stayed as a guest yet, but I stopped in to look around and was pleasantly surprised. The building seems well constructed, and the staff were warm and friendly. I'm looking forward to my stay.

I came by myself for a few days and enjoyed the spa pedicure and Paint and Sip. Service was outstanding almost everywhere, and room service was friendly and quick. They couldn't clean my room because the DND sign was up, so they called to ask if I needed anything. One waitress at the Crystal Tavern was the exception. The place is good for families, especially around spring break, with lots for kids and indoor or heated pools. But it isn't luxury or posh, despite how some people describe it. My room was nice, though it needed a deeper clean. For what it costs, I expected perfect. I don't mean that as a knock on Housekeeping: the windows needed cleaning, the balcony needed sweeping, the screen had a hole that should be fixed, and the room could use spraying for critters. I ate at both the Crystal Tavern and Springs Bistro. At the Tavern, one waitress was very slow and the food wasn't good. I enjoyed my meal at Springs Bistro, and Ben was an attentive waiter. I'll review the restaurants separately. I won't go back, though with young kids this place would be high on my list.
