That turtle hospital tour with Phoebe was a real highlight, and the place is a must see. She’s such a great guide. We’re grateful she opens her dream home and oasis to guests, and I’d recommend it for all kinds of small gatherings, especially an empowerment retreat. We love how much the stay connects you with the local culture, and how much everyone cares about nature. It’s a tucked away local gem with genuine southern hospitality and an environmentally conscious feel. It’s our favorite destination, well worth the trip from Michigan. We’ve shared some of our favorite views, too. There’s always something to do, from the hot tub and board games to tether ball and crab pots, and the rooms are spotless with plenty of space to roam. We love the blueberry pancakes. We come back whenever we can, and hope to make it an annual visit now. We couldn’t ask for a better stay or hostess! 🤞🏻🪻💜🍁🪅🏕️

The house sits right on the water, with lovely views, and was clean and welcoming. Phoebe looked after us so well. We got to use the kayaks, and she had towels ready for both the beach and the hot tub. Breakfast each morning was amazing. We loved our stay and highly recommend it!

Phoebe shared stories from her travels over phenomenal breakfasts, and pointed us toward restaurants and beaches. I was visiting NC from PA for a wedding, and had such a lovely stay with her. I’d happily stay again in a heartbeat, and will find a reason to come back!

The property is lovely and set up perfectly for relaxing, fishing, or kayaking, with Top Sail beach close by. The owner is so kind, and waking up to her was a joy. Breakfast was delicious, especially those blueberry pancakes. Such a wonderful getaway!

We were there for five nights and still wanted more time. Phoebe has directions and suggestions for all sorts of nearby places and activities, and the spot works well for trips to Topsail, Wilmington, and beyond. Breakfast was great, and she’s lovely to talk with while you eat. There’s a dock for watching nature and taking in the views, plus a third story deck that’s great for stargazing. Downstairs outside, there’s a hot tub and seating. The sun room has seats and binoculars for bird watching, and the living room has plenty of seating too. One bedroom has a TV and fridge, while the second has a couch, TV, video, and reading materials. There’s also a bathroom stocked with anything you might need. You can access almost every room in the home. Phoebe is great at making sure you have what you need. You could nearly show up with just your clothes. She also has towels, chairs, and umbrellas to take to the beach.
