Comfort Inn & Suites Hampton near Coliseum

The breakfast was the only good part for me. There were hot choices like eggs, sausage, biscuits or potatoes, plus waffles, juice, coffee, yogurt, apples, muffins, and bread. We got back at night to find ants all over the microwave and counter. We killed some, but more kept appearing, so I took pictures. When I went downstairs for another room, the night front desk woman had an attitude and asked if I wanted bug spray. I didn't want to breathe the fumes before bed, especially since my husband had work at 6am, so I asked to move instead. She was rude about it. On the third floor there were dead ants behind the bathroom door and on the counter, and pubic hairs on the top sheets. At least the ants were dead there. I recommend staying somewhere else. I'll have to wash my clothes a couple of times in case I brought any ants with me. They need an exterminator.

We checked in Saturday night, took our things to the room, then came back down and got an Uber five minutes away. We got an emergency call from home and had to make the roughly two-hour drive back. I called the reservation specialist, who spoke with the manager, Mr Patel. Later I got an email saying they denied any kind of service because we'd left abruptly. When I called again today and explained more, the manager said he couldn't do anything because he couldn't resell the room at 10 at night, though we'd checked in pretty late. I understand that, but he wouldn't offer even a partial refund or let us stay another night. His attitude was rude and snotty, and that's poor customer service. If an emergency comes up after you check in, don't expect help from them. I've never dealt with a hotel where the manager acted like this. Things happen in life, but apparently he doesn't accept that.

Kevin was fantastic. I called ahead to ask if our three rooms could be near each other, and he arranged for them to be together. He remembered me from the call and was there during our stay, treating us like good friends. His hospitality made for such a nice arrival, and the rest of the staff were just as accommodating. Shout out to Kevin for being the freaking best! The rooms were very clean, especially compared with some Hampton rooms our friends had. The soundproofing was probably the best I've experienced in a hotel. We couldn't hear anything from inside our room, and even the bathroom felt like a little soundproof bubble with the door closed. It's within walking distance of a gas station, and a big mall with food, shopping, coffee, and Target is a very short drive away. We had a wonderful stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Hampton. I'd highly recommend it for a trip to Hampton or the Coliseum.

We were in town for a three-day PHISH concert, and the location worked well. The rooms were clean and the staff were great. Jayne, the front desk guy, was AWESOME, and the woman who checked us in was super friendly. I think her name was Izeb. We had a really good stay and I'd come back.
