BEST WESTERN Copper Crown Motel

The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets were spotless. We slept really well, and I'd stay again. The hotel is older and dated, and breakfast was mediocre, with no fresh hot food, just pancakes or breakfast sandwiches to heat in the microwave. Good value.

The interior looks like it hasn't moved on from the 70s, though it's not in bad shape. Parking right by the hotel is limited, but there's a larger lot across the street. The breakfast room is tiny but has the foods you'd expect, and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area is great, and there's a sauna that's a little hard to find but very nice once you do. If the older look doesn't bother you, it's all upsides, except you have to cross the bridge and go into the Yooper Loop.

It has a 90s look, as some other reviews mention, but the place is in perfect shape. The location is excellent, breakfast is good, and the staff are friendly. The hotel was spotless, the cleanest one I've stayed in for at least four years.

We were very happy with this hotel and give it five stars. We needed a room after returning from Isle Royale, and the rate was decent, though we weren't sure what to expect. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, up-to-date, and had everything we needed. The bed was clean and comfortable, with several pillow options. They had coffee and continental breakfast, as well as a pool, hot tub, and sauna that we were too tired to use. Just a couple of small issues: the hair dryer didn't work, and the shower temperature kept changing, though the pressure was good. We took long showers to wash off four days of backcountry trail dirt. Watch out for the many pillars in the parking area when backing up a loaded car. We hit one, damaging our wheel well but not the pillar. Other pillars had damage too, so it seems this has happened before.
