What a disappointing stay. My first room had a hole in the wall, a broken lamp shade, and a bathroom door that was broken, so I asked to move. The next room smelled strongly of Indian food spices. I took a third room because I was exhausted from driving, but it had no security lock, the hair dryer was missing, and the Kleenex box was empty. In the morning, a guest had a German Sheppard weighing over 60 lbs just outside the front door. It seemed very vicious, and I felt it could have attacked me if the owner hadn’t held it tightly. Breakfast was very sparse. There were no coffee lids, and the coffee definitely wasn’t Starbucks despite what the canister said. Google won’t let me add photos.

The bed was super comfy, and the guy at the desk was really nice. It’s not the ritz, and you get what you pay for. The walls are paper thin, though, and people were walking and talking past 3-4 am.

Jason at the front desk was the sweetest, answering every question I had without missing a beat. I really liked the showers and the cozy 70’s feel of the place. I had a great stay and will definitely be back.

The front desk staff apologized when I reported the problems, but couldn’t help without a manager, and the manager never called me back. When I followed up, I was told the OWNER would approve only a $10 discount. I first checked into a dirty room, then got moved to a motel style room in awful disrepair. The TV didn’t work, there were cigarette holes in the comforter, stains all over, and the bathroom faucet leaked onto the counter. Shameful, and it doesn’t look like they’re trying to stay in business long term.

The king sized bed was comfortable, and the place was clean and quiet during our two-day visit to friends in Hancock, MD. I’d recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
