The office man said he’d reimburse us for the nights we didn’t stay, but not for the night we spent there. His professionalism was lacking. The owner later refused to refund us and told Booking.com, falsely, that there were seven people in each room. We’d already explained to the front desk man that our group had helped us set up, then gone back to Houston after check-in. There were only two adults in each room, and nobody else came in. The rooms smelled awful, like mildew and stale smoke, and had cockroaches. We left and slept in our vehicles for a few hours before going to our scheduled job. It was a frustrating, exhausting trip, and we’ll be reporting the situation to the health department. We hope sharing this helps others avoid the same kind of trouble and reminds hospitality businesses to be transparent and act with integrity.

The room was spacious and well kept, and the staff were friendly. We were driving from Arizona to Florida and stopped after two stressful hours in Houston rush hour traffic. The dryer wasn’t working, but the front desk said we could wash our clothes and they’d dry them in their industrial dryer for sheets and towels. It’s right off I-10, which is handy for travelers, and the clean rooms earned five stars from me.

The room was clean, and so was the restroom. The clerk was really nice and checked me in quickly. A nice place to stay, and I’ll be back. Thank you, Scottish inn.

I stopped because my lights weren’t working. The room was very clean, and check-in was easy. The price was fair, and it was simple to reach just off the highway. Even with the highway so close, it wasn’t noisy.
