The continental breakfast had tasty hot and cold options, and the beds were much more comfortable than the ones at the Doubletree where we’d spent the previous four days. The pool was larger and more inviting too, compared with the Doubletree’s 4-foot-deep bathtub. We couldn’t hear any highway traffic here, unlike the surprise train horns at 2 or 3 a.m. at the Doubletree, which explained the ear plugs left on the table. My daughter and I spent one night at this Super 8 and liked it better than our longer stay there. Everything has been remodeled to modern standards, while the place still has the charm and good vibe of the early ’70s. You notice that as soon as you walk into the lobby. It has lots of history too, see the photo from their lobby. We’ll definitely keep this Super 8 on our travel list.

The new manager is doing a great job and has been so helpful. Check-in is quick and accommodating, with no problems. The woman on the overnight shift is the best, super kind and helpful, amazing really. She’s always on top of things and gets me checked in fast. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about her. Businesses would do much better with more people like the staff at this Super 8.

The breakfast was just a waffle or cereal, and the milk was sour, so skip the cereal. There was only one opened pat of butter. The room problems started with the first one, which was dirty, so we asked to switch. The second room was dirty too, and I wound up bringing my own bedding in. The top of the door frame was broken, letting light in, and the smell was awful, like old dog urine. There was hair around the bathroom sink, and the whole room had one paper cup to share. No coffee machine or even an ice bucket. I don’t like leaving bad reviews because I know people are struggling, but cleaning is still possible. If this is your only place to stay, just sleep in your car.

We got checked in right away by friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there wasn’t much road noise. Breakfast was good and hot. It’s a good place to stay, just off the highway at the south end of town.

The first-floor smell was awful, and the room smelled even worse. We were moved upstairs to the second floor, where the room was cleaner. The photos are of room 112, taken on 9.26.25. Stay at your own risk.
