There’s no pool or diner, and the place is still under construction. You get what you pay for. The owners seem to be trying, but restoring it looks like it could take years. It might work as a cheap place to sleep if you’re on your own, but that’s about it. The only plus is that it’s nine minutes from BWI.

The hotel feels old and worn, and the rooms and facilities need a lot of updating and maintenance. For what I paid, I expected better. The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout my stay, which was a real hassle, and the staff weren’t much help when I raised problems. Between the poor service and the condition of the place, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The beds were comfortable and the toilet paper was plush, but we had no hot water during our stay. We were moved from room 403 to a lower floor, room 113, and still had no hot water or heat. The TV didn’t work in 403; it did work in 113, but that room’s heat was out. Breakfast from 6 to 9 a.m. was mediocre: waffles you make yourself, white and wheat bread, oatmeal packets, bananas, very sweet juice, cereal, coffee, and tea. The hotel is older, though it was clean.

We only needed a place to sleep near the airport after our flights were canceled, with a shuttle and restaurant. The listing showed both, but the restaurant was closed even though I’d checked its hours before booking, and the shuttle didn’t start until 9 a.m. We had to pay $40 for an Uber. At check-in, we had to call out from the front desk toward the back room to get anyone’s attention, and then we were told there was no hot water. The room was freezing with the heat off, and barely warmed up once we turned it on. We’d booked a queen, but got two double beds. The alternate room they offered was colder, its microwave didn’t work, half the lights were out, and brown water came from the bathroom sink, so we went back to the first room. At midnight, staff came pounding on our door to ask why we hadn’t changed rooms, even though I had to be up at 4 a.m. for my flight. The hotel was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in months. My wife then fell on ice in the uncleared parking lot. When we complained, they said they couldn’t do anything because we’d booked through booking.com and offered a complimentary bag of chips, which I declined. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I don’t usually post reviews, but people should know before booking.

We were there for maybe two hours and never stayed the night. First we were given rooms that already had people in them, then rooms with used, dirty beds. One toilet flooded, another room was basically destroyed, and finally we found roaches. I got a picture of the baby one; the other ran off before I could photograph it. We’re also having trouble getting a full refund even though we never stayed. Hope this helps people avoid the place.
