TownePlace Suites by Marriott Atlanta Airport North

The airport shuttle was an easy pickup, and the driver was very kind. It was a short ride, too. We were a family of four arriving at ATL airport, and we’d gladly stay here again after being disappointed by the neighboring Hilton. The breakfast area had plenty of seating and nice natural light, while the woman managing breakfast was especially kind and kept everything clean and replenished. Our room felt cozy and worked well for one night, though I’d have been comfortable staying longer. It was updated, with clean sheets and pillows, and the elevators were well kept. I appreciated not having dark carpets like at the Hilton, where the bedding was stained and the elevators looked dingy.

We ended up leaving after the manager was rude and walked away while we were trying to talk, three separate times. There was also a $100 charge for rose petals, supposedly for deep cleaning, even though the bathroom, kitchen, and living room were spotless. They said there was a trash limit, too. Before that, we’d asked for glasses or cups for a toast and were refused. During the reservation, the person helping us took a call and ignored us for a while, only giving one or two words while still on the phone. We were first quoted a price including taxes, then charged a different amount. They said they’d refund $80, but we only got $20.

The breakfast was great, and the gym was pretty big for a hotel. I was in Atlanta for a school with delta, and the people here were friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

The rooms have a modern, updated feel, and the gym has weights and kettlebells. Breakfast was excellent. The staff also go out of their way to make sure your stay is good. I’d highly recommend this location.
