Forest Lodge Motel

I was happy with my stay and would have no problem staying here again. For a small, locally owned hotel, it can be hard to keep everything current, and the building does look dated. There are chipped walls, mineral stains, and carpets that aren’t in the best shape. Still, it was clean and comfortable, which mattered most to me. My bed seemed fairly new, and some things appear to have been updated recently, including the microwave, refrigerator, and AC unit.

Andrea and the staff were awesome, really friendly and accommodating, and the price is hard to beat. Crescent City was about two hours away, where we were stopping over to visit Redwoods Natl Park. There’s also a great grocery store just across the street, especially for a small roadstop town. I’d recommend this as a friendly, budget option.

Andrea was so kind and helpful while we were exploring the area, and I couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. The AC worked wonderfully, so we were comfortable, and the beds were comfortable too. Everything was clean and well maintained. This place was the best!

The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially with local issues. When a bus driver from medford oregon broke down and needed a ride back but only had 150 dollars, the hotel staff worked with the local community and found someone to take him up there. The lodge has an ice machine, easy parking, and room for buses and semis. It’s within walking distance of a liqour store, market, pizza place, coffee shop, and river access, right at the california and oregon border. My room had lots of seating, including a bench under the desk, a small table, and two rolling chairs. There was a microwave, a refrigerator with a separate freezer unit attached, and an alcove closet. The bathroom was large, had good lighting, and had plugs for things like razors and toothbrush chargers. The sheets were clean and the air conditioning was amazing. The lodge felt like an oasis, was very clean and well taken care of, and had upgraded ammenities compared with many motels. I loved my stay and plan to return when I’m back in that direction.
