Scott Creek Farm

The bungalow had a bit of a kitschy look, which I actually liked, and Monique was a wonderful host. We enjoyed opening the window to let in the lovely fresh air since the weather was so nice. I also got to enjoy a bath for a change, because at home we only have a shower. The fridge was well stocked with fresh fruit, muffins, milk, oatmeal, cereal, and both fresh and bottled water.

We loved all the statues and quirky little things around Scott Creek farm B&B, and the room had its own doors to a private porch so we could come and go without bothering anyone. The hosts were patient with my yappy dogs, and I appreciated that they welcome pets. There was one nuisance: the coffee maker tripped the breaker every time we used it, though it wasn't enough to spoil the stay. We found a fun food truck spot a couple of miles away with around twenty trucks, and didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else. My husband and I had a wonderful, whimsical visit, and I'd definitely return.

The bed was comfortable, the hosts were so sweet, and the price was lower than the cookie-cutter hotels nearby. The place itself is peaceful and pretty, with little knickknacks all over to look at as you wander around. I only got one night there and wish it could've been longer.

Scott Creek felt more like a B&B than a hotel, and I liked it even better. The couple who own and run it are some of the nicest people you'll meet, and they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and at peace. The eclectic decorations inside and out are fun, and the room never had that cold, impersonal hotel feeling. It felt like coming Home. After years of staying at Known Named Hotels, trying something different was a great choice. I'll come back whenever I'm in the area. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
