We appreciated that the hotel welcomes dogs, and the service was good. They gave us two bottles of water when we arrived. The walls are thin, so we could hear people walking and talking around us, but that's not too surprising in an older hotel. It worked well for a one-night stay.

The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the location right off the interstate exit was convenient, with plenty of parking. Prices were reasonable, so it felt like good value for a short stay.

I should've trusted my gut. The lobby had a strong, strange smell, and the person checking me in gave me an odd feeling. The room seemed so dirty that I brought in my own cleaning supplies and towels. There were stains on the towels and shower curtain, and my shoes felt sticky on the floor. It didn't seem like the room had been cleaned after the last guest. The deadbolt didn't work, so I didn't feel safe. I didn't even want to try making coffee after seeing the room. It's beside a bar, and I wouldn't recommend it for families or children. I don't want anyone I care about staying here. Cheap doesn't make it worth it, and I'd rather pay $150 a night for a clean, safe hotel. They have a 0% refund policy, so the rooms should be spotless. Homestead Inn by Dairy Queen’s actually cares about its customers and the cleanliness of the hotel.

The mixed reviews I saw before booking left me a bit hesitant, but my stay turned out better than I expected. Everything I needed was there, and the room was comfortable, clean, and well kept. It was quiet and pleasant. I'd consider coming back.
