Hampton Inn & Suites Harlingen

The staff tried their best to help, but the bugs made this a bad stay. On the third floor I killed two roaches and lost another behind the bed. They moved me to the first floor, where the room was infested with crickets. I used the spray they offered, and maintenance sprayed again, but crickets still flew around every night. The whole hotel needs fumigating. I wouldn't stay here unless you're okay sharing a room with roaches and crickets. I'm a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many Hampton Inns, but this wasn't the quality I'm used to.

The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom floor and the side of the tub had hair on them, so it was clear the room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. We were only there for the night, so I didn't make a fuss. Breakfast was hot, and you could make a cute Texas-shaped waffle. The juice tasted like flavored tap water, but the coffee was fresh and hot. They also had complimentary cookies and coffee in the afternoon and evening.

Jessica at the front desk was so helpful, and we had a wonderful stay!

I only ended up in Harlingen after a bad Airbnb experience in Los fresnos and not being able to find a hotel room in Brownsville because conventions were going on. I'm really glad I came across the Hampton Inn. It's spotless and has a great team. Whoever runs it knows what they're doing and hires the best. Chris on the midnight shift welcomed me and got me a room right away. Breakfast was very well done, and Dee, the breakfast attendant, clearly takes pride in her work. During the polar vortex, it got really cold, and then the heater in my room quit. I called the front desk, Jesse came up, and within minutes the team had swapped the heater and installed a new thermostat. I was warm again so fast. If you're in the Harlingen Texas area and need a clean, comfortable place to hang your hat, this is it. Sorry I didn't catch the other team members' names, but thanks to everyone!
