We found blood stains on the mattress, and the sheets didn’t seem to have been changed. The place was extremely dirty. When we showed management our concerns, they didn’t offer another room, just said they could give us fresh sheets. I wouldn’t bring my family here.
Nick, the owner, has been helpful in every way during my extended stay at this lovely Motel. Management leaves you alone and doesn’t get into your business, and he’s also helped many people through COMMUNITY ACTION/LOAVES AND FISHES. His beautiful Ethnicity is a charm as well. The Pool looks inviting, though it’s a little too chilly for me. Thank you, and have a blessed day!
A lovely little motel.
I paid for a week but left after the second night because I didn’t feel safe or respected. I was told outside room 31 that gay men weren’t allowed to stay there. The owner shut off the water, and a man sat outside my door watching my room. The night before, someone had been knocking on doors on the second floor in the middle of the night. There was no privacy, and I saw roaches. This place doesn’t feel LGBT friendly, and I don’t trust it. Honestly, I felt safer at the bugdet in hotel on 77 with the Roches.
We had a broken pipe that left us without hot water, but they fixed it quickly. It’s a nice, quiet place, and everyone we met was friendly, even with my overly hyper kids on their first trip to Texas.
