For a short 1-2 night visit, this is a cozy, historic and convenient inn with the basic things you need. It delivers on what the booking site says, though it isn’t a 5-star hotel. Karan and the owner are both lovely ladies. Their warmth, friendly treatment of guests and willingness to help gave the place a real grandma's house in the mountains feel. I was very grateful for that. A couple of useful things to know: parking can be tricky because spaces are limited. We parked at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy during the day for free, then moved the car to the train station in the evening, which made access easier. I highly recommend that approach. If you visit in winter, pack layers for the frigid temperatures around Harper's Ferry. It can get windy, so bring a scarf, beanie and gloves.

The location is fantastic, the service is casual, and my room was really comfortable. The Town's Inn has the quirky character I hoped for in a historic building: steep, narrow stairs, low ceilings and odd ledges that are easy to trip over. Those unusual details give you a sense of how people used to live. I’d definitely stay again.

My train arrived at noon after I’d been riding all the way from Chicago, and they kindly let me check in early because the room was ready. I was able to take a shower, which I really appreciated. The hotel is right in the heart of Harper’s Ferry, with the attractions and train station both within walking distance. Great place to stop. I’d stay again.

For more than 50 years, since I was a little girl, I’ve hiked and picnicked in Harpers Ferry with my Mom. I finally stopped in at this adorable little Inn, and it really is Almost Heaven. Keep in mind that this is historic Harpers Ferry, not the Ritz Carlton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Town's Inn is a welcoming place for locals and visitors who want somewhere warm to curl up for a night or two. It’s quaint and cozy, has the creature comforts, and even has a convenience store on-site. The rooms are basic, clean and affordable. Whether you’re coming off a long day on the AT, live nearby and want a fun staycation, or have out-of-town visitors to introduce to an eclectic bit of history, it fits. The Innkeeper warmly showed me around and explained how everything worked. Prices range from $80-$200 a night depending on room size, number of beds and bathroom amenities. This overlooked gem is all about serving people in a beautiful spot just steps from trails, shops, restaurants and museums. Start making memories here.

For AT hikers like us, the location is hard to beat. Town’s Inn and the Country Store have the resupply basics covered, from snacks and meals to fuel, first aid and toiletries. You can pop into the store even if you’re not staying overnight. The Inn has several lodging options, and the Rabbit Hole restaurant across the street is fantastic. Dr. Karen and her staff are warm and accommodating. Town’s Inn really is a gem in the heart of Harpers Ferry, and I highly recommend stopping by.
