Our car broke down midway through a seven-hour trip in what felt like the middle of nowhere in TN. We had two adults and four small kids with us. We’d booked a room last minute at a Holiday Inn, then arrived at the Harriman location and realized it wasn’t the one we’d reserved. The rate there was higher, but with the car trouble we couldn’t get to the location we’d booked. Dedra at the front desk was so calm, caring, generous, and helpful through all the chaos. She gave us a very generous rate and helped cancel the mistaken reservation. She even helped me stay calm. Dedra went above and beyond, and I’m so thankful for her!

We came for a wedding and would stay here again. The entrance sign was a little hard to spot, but once there, the mountainside view was beautiful. Our room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice. Thanks for the hospitality.

This is my least favorite Holiday Inn Express. I run into problems every time I stay, and this visit it was the air conditioning. It seems to be a new system, but it isn’t set up properly. Even though it was only May and not hot outside, the room was miserably warm and needed AC. The unit ran for a few minutes and shut off, so I had to restart it every 5 to 10 minutes all night. I reported it to the front desk, but they said it was too late to do anything. A technician came the next day, seemed to know even less about the unit than I did, and said someone more knowledgeable wasn’t there. A basic thing like AC can really ruin a stay, especially when the maintenance staff don’t know how to service it.

We came from California and stayed last night. The room was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and everyone on staff was so nice. Allen checked us in and was the most helpful, caring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. When I thought I’d lost my wallet in the parking lot, he was outside searching with a flashlight. It turned out to be in my room. Thank you, Allen, for making our night great.

I pulled a muscle in my back, so the front desk made sure we got a room with a walk-in shower. The clerks were friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and we’ll definitely stay again next time I visit family.
