Clarion Pointe Harrisonburg

From the outside, it looked nice, but getting our bags onto the cart and then learning there was no elevator to our floor was a rough start. We had to use the stairs. The room was clean, though cramped, and the beds were really hard. Breakfast didn’t look like the pictures, but it was fine for our little kids. It would do for an unplanned trip, but I wouldn’t pick this hotel again.

Sarah was a big help when we ran into a problem with our first room on the way to a conference in Charlotte. Since it couldn’t be fixed that night, she quickly moved us to another room. Really good service, and I’d recommend staying here.

For what it costs, the hotel is okay, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. The inside looks awful and could use renovation. Breakfast tasted good until I noticed that nearly all the yogurt was expired. The breakfast area and most of the tables were also filthy. The evening employee who checked people in was the bright spot, he was great.

The service was great and breakfast was good during my first stay. But there was mold behind the wallpaper, and it made me sick because I’m allergic to black mold. I’d suggest checking for mold if you stay here. It’s a serious health issue.
