Silver Lake Bed and Breakfast

Maple the cat was there to greet us when we arrived, and the inn keepers were super friendly. Our room felt cozy, with a large shower and climate control. Breakfast was delicious and just the right size. Harrisonburg is an easy 10 minute drive, making this a perfect spot for a weekend getaway or a JMU football game.

The old house is pretty, and the room was handsome, spacious, cozy, and quiet. Breakfast was nice and flavorful, and at this price it’s a good place to stop for one night while passing through. Check-in was self-service, post five. Without other guests around, I wouldn’t have known what to do until the instructions came by text. The water pressure was weak, the internet cut out often, and the sheets were thin.

Maple the cat made our time relaxing in a rocking chair on the porch a fond memory. The hosts were the friendliest, nicest, and most helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. There were fresh, crisp apples and lots of complimentary drinks, too. The room was comfy and cozy with all the amenities, and the place has rustic charm with the right modern touches in a beautiful location. We highly recommend a stay and look forward to going back!

We celebrated our 26 wedding anniversary here and were very pleased. The room was spacious and cozy, the bed surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom shower was amazing. Staff were wonderful and very accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. The place was convenient to the spots we wanted to visit while being out of the way of town. We’ll definitely return. They also had a pretty little, very friendly cat.
