Hotel Hartington

We had a great time gathering as a family in the Outlaw wing over Labor Day and for a school reunion, from 8/28/25 through 9/2/25. The den was our spot for coffee and watching football, and the whole floor worked really well for being together. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were roomy, and questions or requests got answered quickly. The grocery store next door made it easy to pick up drinks and snacks. The historic hotel is centrally located, and it was quiet, clean, and felt very safe. We’d highly recommend it.

Getting the codes took a little sorting out, but a nice guy working at the brewery down the street came to the rescue. We had the Wedding Wing room, which was spectacular. The building is beautiful and full of history, and I’d definitely suggest checking out the brewery as well.

The building’s woodwork and history are amazing, and being able to walk upstairs after the reception was a big plus. I stayed three nights for a wedding, which seemed to have the whole hotel booked. It’s a beautiful setting for a reception, and my wife thought the bridal suite was fantastic for getting ready. Our rooms were a good size. I believe our section had six rooms and three bathrooms, so sharing one took me back to college dorm life, only much cleaner here. The bathrooms are large. The doors and rooms can be loud and squeaky, though that’s what you might expect with the historic charm. I’d recommend it for an event in Hartington.

Our legion baseball team stayed at the Hotel Hartington while Hartington hosted state baseball, and the place was more than perfect. Colby was great to work with and very accommodating. The hotel is amazing, and we’re so glad they let us use the space. It couldn’t have been better!
