The host was welcoming and easy to work with, and had plenty of history to share about the house. The Oak Manor Inn is spotless and well cared for. It has the feel of a place featured in Southern Living magazine, with original 19th-century details and a beautiful wood-paneled study that gave me serious house envy. The host is also a wonderful cook, with the best cornbread I’ve ever had. I’d recommend it to almost anyone.

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. David kindly made us a delicious breakfast, and the bed was comfortable with high-quality sheets. The inn’s tasteful decor and vintage charm made it stand out.

Such a lovely bed and breakfast, with beautiful furnishings, excellent food, and a very friendly host. I highly recommend it and plan to come back in February.

We had a wonderful weekend at Oak Manor Inn. The hospitality was warm and made us feel at home, and the breakfasts were magnificent. We’re looking forward to visiting again the next time we’re in the area.

David and Lisa were thoughtful hosts, available when needed but also giving us lots of quiet time. They know Hartsville well and had ideas for places to visit and restaurants to try. We loved our stay and are planning to return in the next few months. The warm welcome made even our birthday celebration with two other guests feel like a family reunion. We were there for a three-day stopover and short getaway, about halfway between the ocean and Lancaster, SC. David Hubert, the owner, greeted us at the door and gave us a tour of the historic house near the center of Hartsville, across from Coker University. Afterward, he let us choose a room. That was hard, since every room has its own distinctive features. The gorgeous home has been updated with the amenities you’d expect while keeping the character and architectural details of a historic house. Breakfast was a highlight each morning. The first day brought fruit, bacon, eggs, and well-seasoned potatoes. The next day we had New York bagels, one with smoked salmon and one with ham, egg, and cheese. We split them so we could try both. On our final morning, we had a special breakfast of pumpkin pancakes and bacon.
