The location worked well, and the room had a TV and microwave. The room itself was disappointing, though. The air conditioner gave off a smell that was bothering my boyfriend's breathing, and the tiny bathroom made it a squeeze just to get to the toilet or shower.

We paid $230, and the next morning the receipt showed a $33.50 discount alongside another $33.50 in unexplained charges. When we went right back to ask about it, nobody was at the front desk. The manager had also never followed up, despite staff saying they'd pass along our problems and have the manager contact us. The only offer we'd heard was a 15% discount. We'd booked a double queen room for three of us, a couple and a friend, but were assigned a king room. That left us all sharing one bed, which was really uncomfortable. Staff said the couch pulled out and gave us sheets and a blanket, but after a tiring day we had to make it up ourselves. The pull-out was broken, with one side sagging to the floor, and its mattress was very uncomfortable. It was around 9:30 pm on Labor Day weekend, so we couldn't find another hotel at that hour.

We chose this place because they agreed to take our three small dogs when the usual limit is two. For two adults in a two queen room, it cost $181 before the dog fees, and I didn't think the price was justified. The room was okay, but nothing special. Breakfast was basically juice boxes, toast, and cereal bars, with white or wheat bread. No cereal, bagels, or muffins. For that price, I'd have expected at least bagels. Apart from their being willing to take all three dogs, I wouldn't stay here again.

The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the pool had toys and floaties for kids. Staff were friendly, and the rooms had been updated, though the work felt cheap. The layout was confusing: odd-numbered rooms were in one hallway and even-numbered ones in another, so finding ours with all our overnight bags took a while. There were some maintenance issues too. The shower's cold water knob was missing, the drywall was cracked, and the room door didn't fit well, letting hallway light shine in. The windows opened onto the hallway instead of outside. I booked through hotels.com, where the app said breakfast was free, but staff told me it was only a to-go breakfast of granola bars, cereal bars, and cereal. This place wasn't awful, but it wasn't great.
