Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans

We spent four days here in February 2026. Ms. Sabrina was especially helpful, and the staff were friendly overall. The room was spacious, the shower was great, and the shower gel smelled lovely. There was plenty of parking too. The casino resort is about 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans, with the Riverboat casino nearby. It has around four restaurants. We tried two, and the food was good. There’s an Asian restaurant, a steakhouse, a sports bar, and a casual spot for quick bites like po' boys and gumbo. We'd definitely stay again. Thanks, Boomtown!

The casino had a lot of machines that weren't working, and it isn't connected to the hotel. You have to go outside and walk around the corner to get there. The room was very outdated and smelled of paint. The guest above me stomped all night. I told the hotel, but nothing changed. I drove four hours for a big weekend the hotel promotes and invites guests to, so it was disheartening to spend the night listening to stomping. I'm not trying to bash the hotel or casino, but I think everything should be working for an event weekend like that.

To the cook who fries the food and serves cold seafood combination po' boys in the small cafe across from the escalators on 2-17-26: serving cold food is garbage. We overpay for it, so quit being lazy and give us hot food. I hope management sees this review and handles it properly. Stop dancing around and get to work!!!!!

The place itself is nice, and most of the staff are pleasant. One employee at a table was judgmental, though, and later the way my boyfriend was treated over drinks was frustrating. He wasn't drunk or making a scene. He was standing by while his friend played, taking a break himself, and asked a roaming bartender for three drinks for the people at the table, since others couldn't get service there. The bartender told him he couldn't order anything else. I and his friend had both had more drinks than he had, and people around him had ordered more too. I don't know why he was cut off while we weren't. I'd have given the place more stars if we'd been treated fairly.
