Quality Inn Harvey - New Orleans

In under 24 hours, we dealt with a room that was too warm, a fridge that barely cooled, and two outlets that didn’t work. Cigarette and marijuana smoke from other guests kept coming into the room. There was an ironing board but no iron; when we asked, a staff member said they’d have to find one and couldn’t say when it would arrive. We also saw plenty of empty ground-floor rooms, the breakfast items weren’t being replenished, and our key card failed, so it had to be replaced twice. We won’t return. You get what you pay for.

The breakfast was cheap and poorly managed. The juice and syrup tasted watered down, the pancake batter was too thin, and nobody kept the coffee filled or checked that food was replenished. I also had to wait at least 30 minutes each time for the shower water to get hot. I didn’t enjoy my stay.

The woman at the front desk was sweet and really knowledgeable. I can’t remember her name, but I think it started with V. She was short, older, and looked Caucasian. As I was heading out, she noticed my bag was unzipped and helped me out. I’d told her I’d been accepted to SUNO, and she congratulated me and offered some motivating words to live by.

The rooms were clean, and the gated parking lot made me feel a little safer, but the neighborhood seemed scary. Check-in staff were terrible, with no thanks for staying or for being a Choice member, and checkout was the same. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
